About
Meet Julie A Jones, Licensed Seattle Mortgage Lender
Senior Loan Officer and Branch Leader, Movement Mortgage. MSW, CMPS. NMLS #177001.
Julie's approach
Buying a home is a big deal, and you want to know who's guiding you through the process. As your Movement loan officer, I'm here to make the home buying experience as straightforward and stress-free as possible.
For more than 20 years, I have worked with buyers and homeowners across Seattle and King County from my office in Eastlake. Whether you're financing your first condo near South Lake Union, moving up to a Wallingford craftsman, or refinancing a home you've owned for years on Capitol Hill, my goal is the same: clear answers, on-time closings, and a loan structured to fit your life.
A little about me
I come from a family of teachers and Realtors. My mother taught in public schools, one of seven generations of teachers in my family, and I am the daughter and granddaughter of Realtors. Homes and helping people were the dinner-table conversation I grew up with, so this work has always felt like the family trade.
Before I came to mortgage lending, I earned my Master of Social Work, and that training still shapes how I work. I listen first, I pay attention to what is actually happening in your life, and I am honest about which path is worth your time. As a Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist, I treat your loan as one piece of a longer financial picture rather than a one-time transaction.
Outside of work, I am a mom to two daughters and a soccer mom, so my evenings and weekends stay full. I live in North Capitol Hill, between St. Joseph School and Seattle Prep, and most evenings you will find me walking our dog through Volunteer Park. I own a getaway lake house that I run as a short-term rental, so when we talk about building wealth through property, I am speaking from my own experience as an investor. I am also a long-time ally and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, and everyone is welcome here.
How I think about your home and your wealth
I am passionate about helping clients build generational wealth, from your first home to your last. A mortgage is rarely only about this month's payment. It is about where you want to be in five, ten, and twenty years. I help you see how each move fits that bigger picture, and I am glad to work alongside your financial and tax advisors so the pieces line up.
Who I work with
I love working with busy professionals and executives who want a trusted financing expert to take the lead, give clear strategic guidance, and move quickly when timing matters. I am especially passionate about helping homeowners move from one home to the next:
- Move-up buyers ready for more room
- Growing families buying a larger family home
- Homeowners right-sizing into retirement
I also enjoy advising first-time and experienced sellers on the financial side of a sale, including estimating your net proceeds, growing your wealth through your next purchase, diversifying into investment property, and building a long-term strategy through real estate. Any figures we work through together are illustrative, and your actual numbers depend on a full review of your situation.
